Spot Cleaning and Decontamination of Wild Animal Droppings
Having nuisance wildlife in your attic is a problem in itself. What they leave behind is the worst of your problems. Raccoon droppings, squirrel droppings, bat droppings, and bird nesting all have bacteria and fungi that can become airborne. It's very important to complete your wildlife control job with cleaning up the droppings the attic pest leave behind.
The way our spot cleaning and attic decontamination works is a 3 step process.
- Before the removal: setting up of lights in the attic, and install flooring around the attic entrance to prevent insulation and droppings falling into the living quarters.
- Removing all the contaminated waste through a hepa filtered shop vacuum. This prevents airborne spores, dust and particles. Raccoon droppings may require construction bags to remove the bedding.
- Sanitize and deodorize: We spray an antimicrobial spray in the contaminated areas to prevent the spread of bacteria and fungi.
Keep in mind spot cleaning is only usefully if the attic is only a minor contamination. If the attic has large amounts of bat guano, raccoon dropping, or bird nesting you may want to refer to attic restoration.
