All species can be attracted to the same baits so we make sure we pick the most appropriate food or lure to bait the animal into the trap. If there are alternative food sources around where the target animal is living, we make sure we use the best baits to steer them from their other food. Gland lures and fresh sweet baits always work the best. Patience is key with trapping. We hope to get our target animal within 24 hours but that isn't always the case. Depending on the eating pattern of the critter they may not always be hungry every night therefore they won' t go right into the trap. |
